Pro Hitting Baseball believes that instruction should be individualized and formed to the strengths and weaknesses of each player. We do not simply sit back and flip balls, we evaluate, instruct and develop each individual player.

Guillermo Martinez

Guillermo played high school ball at Coral Park High School in Miami, Florida. He went on to play 3 years at South Alabama until he signed with the Florida Marlins in the 15th round of the 2006 draft. Guillermo was the MLB Hitting Coach for the Toronto Blue Jays 2019 - 2024.

Brad Beck

Brad is a Knoxville native who played at Bearden High School. He began his collegiate career as a scholarship athlete at D1 Tennessee Tech, later transferring on scholarship to national D1 JUCO powerhouse Walters State, and finishing as a scholarship athlete at D1 UNC Asheville.  After his collegiate career, he signed to play professionally in the Independant League for the Shreveport Sports.  

Once his playing career ended he began coaching.  Over the past 20 years he has helped develop more than 100+ players who've gone on to play in college and/or professionally.

Athletes who've played for him laude his ability to teach grit, work ethic, and fierce competitiveness.  He has a passion for working with youth baseball and softball players and developing them into resilient competitors with high character.

Dave Williams

LHP Dave Williams played college baseball for Delaware Tech before being drafted in the 17th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
- only MLB player born in Alaska to make it to the major leagues
- only MLB player to grow up playing little league in Japan  
- 1999 South Atlantic league A-Ball All-Star
- 2000 Pacific Coast League AAA All-Star
- 2000 led all of minor league baseball in strikeouts
- 2001 had number retired by the Williamsport Crosscutters New York Penn league
- Spent 2 1/2 seasons in the minor leagues before making MLB debut against the Florida Marlins in 2001 
- Spent 4 seasons with Pittsburgh Pirates.  Traded from Pittsburgh Pirates to Cincinnati Reds for Shawn Casey in 2005
- Traded to the New York Mets in 2006 and spent 2 seasons with the Mets
- Played for the Yokohama BayStars Japanese MLB 2007.
- 2008 signed minor league contract playing AA & AAA for Washington Nationals
- 2009 signed contract with the Long Island Ducks Independent ball
 - Retired in 2010 and began Amateur Scouting with Dana Brown assisting Washington Nationals and Toronto Bluejays in evaluating south east talent/draft board players
- 2015 & 2016 coached professionally for the Toronto Blue Jays
- 2017-2018 managed high school baseball
- 2020 inducted into the Delaware State Hall of fame

​Dave has been an amateur pitching instructor/mentor for over 20+ years.  Working with a wide range of players from 8U to college level pitchers.

Taylor McMurray

Taylor went to Gibbs High School in Corryton, TN where he lettered all four years playing. He started coaching in 2015 and is currently the coach for our 17U and 9U Prospects teams.

Ty Morrison

Ty signed out of Tiger High School located in Portland, Oregon with the Tampa Bay Rays in the 4th Round of the 2008 MLB Draft.

Jeff McAvoy

A native of Palmer Massachusetts and a veteran of over 20 years in Professional Baseball. Currently working for the Los Angeles Dodgers as a Special Assistant to Baseball Operations.  In his current role Jeff evaluates the Dodgers minor league system, cultivates relationships with Player Development staff and stays in constant communication with the Major League coaching staff and Front Office. Jeff also weighs in heavily on any player acquisitions or promotions. Prior to his time with the Dodgers, Jeff spent 4 years as the Vice President of Player Personnel for the Miami Marlins. In that role he was tasked with overseeing all 3 scouting departments as well as assisting with Major League roster construction and maintenance. Before his time with the Marlins Jeff spent a combined 9 years with the Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays in a variety of Professional Scouting roles.

Ryder Green

In 2018, the Yankees drafted Ryder Green in the 3rd round of the MLB Draft out of Karns High School. Before the draft, Ryder was committed to Vanderbilt University. He competed in the Area Code Games, East Coast Pro, and the 40-Man 18U USA Baseball Trials. Ryder was known as a five-tool player specializing in the outfield and hitting and credits his hitting coach, Guillermo Martinez for his hitting style and success from the age of 12 and throughout his baseball career.
